Bagheera

Our newest addition to our cat family, Bagheera was stranded and left to die near a busy Hwy. Beth couldn't pass her up. She is sweet but very bold for her size. She doesn't mind crowding out the larger cats to get her share of food. We hope someone else will adopt her permanently. However, we wouldn't mind keeping her. Posted by Picasa

Fall color in November

For the first time in a long time our area has some color. The trees have been so pretty, we just had to go for a walk before the sun went down.

Our new home

After a long wait and search, God provides. We signed the contract and paid the deposit. Seems like we will have a homeschool block. A lot of our neighbors homeschool. This property comes with 10 acres a barn and a pond. Front

October Camping

Our yearly camping trip in October. We get together with a few friends from church and enjoy our time roasting marshmallows, playing cards, hiking, and trying to catch fish that aren't interested.

This little tree frog found his home in one of Beth's hanging plants. Taking a break from the heat he would climb down from the plant and take a swim in the watering trough. Posted by Picasa

No room for Dad

Michael and Phillip spread their toes while Julia and Beth snuggle. I just take a picture while waiting to get in bed. Can you make a little room for a tired old guy. :-) Posted by Picasa

Skate Park practice

Michael and I went to the Tupelo skatepark. We had to leave early and we had the park all to ourselves. I tried out my new board and taught Michael some basics. He is a natural.

First Flight

Today, I asked a friend of mine, who has a plane, if I could fly with him in his Cessna single engine prop plane to take some areial photos. I have done this before with him a few times before but this time he let me take the controls. I flew for about 10minutes at 2000ft. dipped and turned, did a 360 then headed back to the runway. I have to admit I was a little intimidated but it was fun. My only regret is that I have no images of me flying the plane. We might go up again soon, but next time I will take some photos of the pilot and myself.

Michael and Julia with Fawn

Posted by Picasa This little fawn was only 20hrs old. He was very friendly and very hungry. Hard to believe that almost as soon as they are born, they can walk.

How did this little critter get in these planters in front of my office building? He surprised Beth and Julia while they were taking a break from the day. Posted by Picasa

Bird Nest?

Unusual place for a bird nest. A wren decided that Julia's bicycle basket would make a great place for her new family. Posted by Picasa

A day in the life of Julia

I spent some time with Julia today. We started the day by going to Shipley donuts, then we went to the vet school where she got to hold a baby racoon. We went to the craft store where she made Beth a bracelet for mothers day. The day ended with a ballet recital where she saw her friends dance. Posted by Picasa
