At first we noticed them circling around the house.  One of them landed in our yard and was scouting around.  After a few weeks we noticed them carrying branches etc. to the tree. The nest is about 30ft from the ground at the top of the tree but well hidden from all sides. We were very thankful that he had another birthday to celebrate.  A broken collar bone 4 weeks ago from a bicycle accident and a serious auto accident the night of his birthday kept us on our toes and praying for him.  The car was totaled but not a scratch on any of the people involved. We had lots of fun. It made us remember how much work it was when our kids were in diapers and toddlers.  Beth had plenty of help,  Julia and Elizabeth Salmon helped out tremendously. They were so photogenic. The weather was gorgeous and made it very tolerable. The race was split into 3 courses, 1 mile, 5k and 10k. I did the 5, Tee, Libby and Amy did the 10. Well she brought home a trophy for us recently.  I think it's a six point buck.  Don't know where she got it or where she put it after she was done. One of my friends Tom Marlin was pouring concrete for his driveway.  He did most of the work himself but needed help when the concrete truck arrived to pour.  So he called upon his friends and we helped as best we could.  It was pretty easy but we had to work very fast. It has been raining regularly for  the  past  two months. We are hoping it will be full this year.  The dogs  really love to play and we like to play in it too.Julia found this clump of frog eggs.
